What is seems to be an old quarry: the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/meipi.org\/cambridgewaste.map.php?id_entry=9&amp;zoomLevel=16\">Landfill Wheelabrator Saugus Inc. Ash Landfill<\/a>. Cambridge&#8217;s Trash is burnt in the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/meipi.org\/cambridgewaste.map.php?id_entry=8&amp;zoomLevel=18\">waste incinerator plant beside it<\/a>. The purpose of the visit is to make an aerial photography of the andfill. Maybe the first of a long row of aerial landfill photography?\u00a0We will be using the experience and <a href=\"http:\/\/publiclaboratory.org\/tool\/balloon-mapping\">tools from PLOTS<\/a>. \u00a0We find specially interesting to be able to track dumping sites.<\/p>\n<p>One week ago we had the opening of Trans Trash exhibition on September 30th <a href=\"http:\/\/www.no-burn.org\/comunicado-de-prensa-da-de-accin-global-contra-la-incineracin\">the global action day against waste incineration<\/a>, coincidence?<\/p>\n<p>Write to basurama@boston.org if you are interested in coming.\u00a0If anyone&#8217;s able to help pick up some helium on Saturday, that would be very helpful.<\/p>\n<p>Meeting point:\u00a0Revere Beach station (probably in the dunkin donuts) at 9:30 to get started.
